This exhibition is the first in a two-part series highlighting the work of the current CSUN Department of Art & Design Faculty.

The exhibition serves as a window into the innovative, creative production of these twenty artists, designers, and art historians. Their works explore a broad range of concepts and material practices in photography, video, drawing, graphic design, sculpture, ceramics, painting, and art historical research. Their ideas and working styles vary greatly, but all share a commitment to staying active and have established their own unique visions within their chosen fields. Although the faculty members’ personal practices may not always be immediately evident in their teaching, their work outside the classroom ultimately helps shape the Department of Art & Design and larger University. This exhibition seeks to recognize their contributions to CSUN and the extended art communities in which they belong.
